A tribute to Larry Dean

Thanks to technology, (facebook), I've re-connected with one of my college roommates, Larry Dean. Everyone who knew Larry, thought he would be a successful musician someday as his musical talents are phenomenal. . After acquiring a degree in music, Larry organized a band called North Tower. After over 30 years, North Tower is still performing and is arguably one of the best top 40 bands in the south.  For North Tower to be successful, along with tons of talent, it took hard work and a dedication to a  business formula, which exemplifies another one of Larry's talents.   North Tower has entertained people of all ages from public performances to private parties. Every performance draws a large following of supporters with dancing and sing-a-longs to familiar songs.Larry is also a devoted family man and has recently become a successful artist in the acrylic medium. He is teaching painting classes for the city of Raleigh at Sertoma arts center. Overall, his modesty has never abandoned him. Along with music, family, business, and art, Larry's biggest success is the fun he's taught people to have.

A Day in Downtown Raleigh

Liz and I had a wonderful trip to Downtown Raleigh to explore the Artplosure festival. The artist were incredible as we were both inspired.  The weather was perfect and everyone there was having a great time.

We also enjoyed the sculptures of Seward Johnson in the City Plaza.

After a tasty lunch with a restful atmosphere sitting outside at a sidewalk table at the Raleigh Times, we also took in the new exhibits at the natural science museum.
